What Is Microneedling?
While it may sound a bit invasive with “needling” in the name, there’s nothing to fear. How does Microneedling with RF work to tighten the skin?
Microneedling with RF has all of the benefits of traditional microneedling, plus skin tightening and additional collagen production. The RF energy heats the underlying layers of skin, causing constriction and tightening of the skin, as well as the stimulation of collagen and elastin production. Because the RF energy is delivered so deeply, it can produce faster results that are more dramatic. Naturally, because The RF energy is able to be delivered deep into the skin, each treatment produces faster, more dramatic results over traditional microneedling. What is RF microneedling usually used for?
Some of the most common target areas for RF microneedling include jowls, jawline, and submental area of the neck (the space below the chin). When can I see results from my Morpheus8 RF microneedling treatment?
Fortunately, RF microneedling with Morpheus8 isn’t just more effective than other treatments, but it is also convenient! In fact, patients usually experience minimal to no downtime and have very few restrictions, if any, following a RF microneedling treatment. The treated area may be red for up to 24 hours. You also may experience some slight redness, bruising or swelling with small scabs that form in the area treated. However, again, because it is minimally invasive, you can expect any side effects to subside in a couple of days or less post-session.
